The action resumes in Serie A with a high-stakes clash this Monday, April 20, as US Lecce host ACF Fiorentina for what promises to be a fiercely contested encounter at the Stadio Comunale Via del Mare. With the dramatic conclusion of the 2025-2026 season fast approaching, both teams find themselves locked in an intense battle to secure their top-flight status, setting the stage for a must-watch showdown in southern Italy.
Match Schedule
| Home Team | Kick-off | Away Team |

| US Lecce | 18:45 UTC | ACF Fiorentina |
For US Lecce, the situation is becoming increasingly critical. Eusebio Di Francesco’s men have slipped to 18th place after a 2-0 defeat to Bologna last weekend, ramping up the pressure to escape the relegation zone. The home supporters are hoping their team can rediscover the spark that saw them narrowly win the reverse fixture earlier this season, with every point now carrying immense value in the fight for Serie A survival.
On the other side, ACF Fiorentina arrive with mixed emotions. Vincenzo Italiano’s side are coming off a bittersweet European campaign, eliminated in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League despite a hard-fought 2-1 win over Crystal Palace—ultimately not enough to overturn their aggregate deficit. The Viola, currently 15th with 35 points, have also struggled for consistency in the league, but their recent ability to compete with teams like Lazio suggests they remain a formidable opponent—especially with pride on the line after their continental disappointment.
Monday’s encounter is about more than just points: it’s a true test of character for both sides. Fiorentina’s European journey may be over, but all focus now shifts to Serie A, where every match could define the season. Lecce, meanwhile, will be determined to capitalize on home advantage to reignite their survival bid. Both managers are expected to consider changes to their starting lineups in search of the right formula, and with momentum at stake, the tactical battle promises to be every bit as gripping as the action on the pitch.
With this the only Serie A fixture on April 20, all eyes will be on Lecce. The result could have major implications at both ends of the table as the season enters its decisive weeks.
As Serie A serves up another crucial evening, fans can expect tension, determination, and perhaps a few surprises as US Lecce and ACF Fiorentina fight for survival. With so much riding on a single match, Monday’s showdown is sure to fuel debate and could prove pivotal in shaping the fate of both clubs.
